WHY CUSTOM?

Most furniture is built to fill a showroom. I build furniture to fill a purpose.

Big box pieces are made fast, designed to fit “most” rooms, and built to last a few years at best. But your home isn’t average, and neither is your taste. You’re not looking for temporary. You’re looking for something with presence.

At Whiskey Burl, I design and build one piece at a time, functional art made from live edge slabs and solid hardwoods. This isn’t fast furniture. It’s built to fit, built to last, and built to mean something.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Step 1: Reach Out
Fill out the form below to start the conversation. Share photos, notes, or a simple idea. I’ll follow up with questions to understand your space, style, and how you plan to use the piece. You're always welcome to visit the shop, we can talk design in person and look over samples or past builds.

Step 2: Design & Quote
Once we have a clear direction, I’ll help refine the concept and recommend materials that make sense for your goals. We’ll lock in dimensions, style, and details. A 65% retainer secures your spot on the build calendar. CAD drawings are available if needed.

Step 3: The Build
Everything is built in my shop, by hand. This isn’t an assembly line. It’s one artist, one project at a time. You’re welcome to visit during the process and see the piece come to life. Final payment is due once the work is complete.

If you're ready for something built with care, purpose, and precision, reach out. I’ll take it from there.

"Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives, the cumulative experience of many masters of craftsmanship"
